Description

The #2000 Millennium Lantern comes in green with chrome trim. It stands 12 inches tall, burns 23 hours on 17 ounces of fuel, has an output of 9 candlepower, and uses a 5/8 inch wick. With the plate and cup having an outside diameter of 4 1/2 inches, and an output of approximately 1100 BTU, you can cook dinner anytime using this. Not only is it great for emergencies, it is also great for a casual night on the patio. Its snap-on bottom and holding pegs allow you anchor it to ground to prevent it from tipping over.

This lantern given the correct lamp oil or kerosene will provide the rated 9 candle power steadily and up to 22 candlepower with no smoke for cooking. I boiled 12 ounces of water in 12 minutes and 51 seconds. Not JetBoil fast, but it heats the water with no noise. I did an extensive test where it stayed lit in 25 mph Colorado winds, lit my basement sufficiently for emergency power, and boils water in a reasonable time. Solid piece of gear, will buy another one.
