Our house has a central lighting-control system from the early 2000's, and when I wired one of these up I was surprised it didn't light-up. Thinking maybe the first of the pair I bought was bad, I swapped it with the second, again no light. I then wired it to an extension cord and it worked. Looking closer at the manual, I read its cryptic note: Ensure your dimmer is compatible... the unit can be destroyed by an incompatible dimmer. That's entirely lame. My existing light-fixtures, on this same dimmer of course, can work with off-the-shelf $5 LED bulbs. One would expect a $210 dollar fixture's integrated LED would use at least as robust and flexible conditioning circuitry as a $5 bulb. No. It not only won't work, it might even destroy itself. Without warranty.Does its Amazon page mention that it may not work with dimmers? No. What standard(s) are support?ed No.Anyway, they looked nice, and I bet we would have liked them... had only these lights, you know, gave light.
