The light looks great, and installation should have been straight forward where it not for the screws provided. The light comes with a universal mounting plate that is easy to attach to existing wall outlet. The two screws provided for attaching the fixture to the mounting plate are about a half inch too long when the mounting plate is flush with the wall surface. I had to get shorter screws from the hardware store to mount this. The bulbs are easy to screw in because the open bottom of the fixture is large enough to inset a hand. The finish is darker than typical brushed nickel, closer to antique nickel. The installation process is a little bit cumbersome while standing on top of a two step stool. Once installed, the sconces look awesome and is a fresh new look vs. the brass previous look. What a nice welcome change.I like these lights, I purchased 4 and installed them in an hour and a half, and I am definitely not a pro. They look good after 24 hours, much better that what they replaced. Just a couple of issues:1) as stated in other reviews, the universal mounting plates come with bolts that are 1/2" too long, had to find others, it would be great if alternative bolts came with the fixture.2) rated for wet environments, however no gaskets to seal between mount and fixture were provided.3) Two pages of instructions came in two languages, but have different pictures from each other and include a picture of a fixture other than what I purchased. This lamp looks really good. Just what I wanted. It loses one star because it is not easy to install. The mounting screw holes are too close together for either the original mount or the one supplied. I needed to drill them out to make the mounting screws fit. Also, the kit is missing the wire connectors (pigtail caps) and the #8-32 Outlet Box Screws. If you are doing an original installation, you will need to buy these.separately.Garage lights.Easy installnicer and better quality than the box hardware storesI bought this lamp to replace another lamp that had rusted and corroded. I thought it was going to be a 20 minute job as I had installed the previous lamp but it was not so. The universal mounting bracket was not universal. Maybe the bracket was meant for a square box or the measurements were metric rather than English but my existing box was rectangular and no matter how I rotated the bracket, I couldn't get the holes to align. Ended up having to drill a second hole in the bracket. I also couldn't use the mounting screws as they were too long. The instructions didn't say how to set the screw depth to get the lamp to mount flush. After getting it mounted, I installed a candelabra bulb that was in the previous fixture. When I turned it back on, all of the light was blocked by the metal frame. The bulb was not low enough to shine through the glass below. Now I'll need to get a bulb extender to lower the bulb. The finish also looks darker than I expected. It looks more antique nickel rather than satin nickel.
